In early November, we re-applied for our Certificate Of Need (CON) with the Connecticut Office of Health Strategy (OHS). Since Dr. Deidre Gifford was appointed Executive Director, communication between OHS and Danbury Proton has been significantly enhanced. In connection with this re-application, we will continue to work with OHS staff to develop a proposal that OHS can support. We are working toward the day when we can make “the big announcement” and break ground, as the project is still shovel-ready. With our entrepreneurial attitude, energy and structure, we can’t wait to begin construction and provide revolutionary proton therapy cancer treatment to patients in Connecticut, across the Northeast, and beyond.
